Rear carpet shelf part number?
Took out my rear roll bar and I want to replace the carpet shelf in the rear. Does anyone know the part number?

What kind of rollbar, and what are you doing with it?

^ Cantrell, plan on keeping it for my new GT3, but if you want it and my precut panels (done at Cantrell), in exchange for your uncut panels plus cash, maybe we can work a deal. Black powder coated, have the sub bars and Schroth belts in black too.

Unfortunately I am not planning on doing the rollbar just yet, but thanks for the offer!

I bet this is about to be a common question.

^ Not as common as you would think- most sell with the cage installed if 997 serves as a predictor. I took mine out as I always remove performance items when selling a car. In the case of the cage it's really not worth it when you factor in labor to do it, and more so if you want to fix the holes left behind. But nobody said I was that smart....
I'm now inclined to drive my car more until my new allocation comes, but I could change my mind next week (or tomorrow) so I want to be ready in case I dump it at the dealer. Since I might keep it, I don't like looking at the holes, but strangely enough I do like driving without the cage- it feels somehow lighter and more open (well I guess it really is).
OK- now who can look up that part number?

A cage and more is in your future, it's just a matter of time now....

To be honest Montoya I was leaning towards the BBI, but if the deal made sense I would think about it.

I've looked at both very closely.
I just installed my BBi one on the weekend and it is an easier install compared to Cantrell.
Design of Cantrell has an extra bolt that goes into the side of the body which entails taking out all the side panels in the rear of the car up to the door sills. Turns out you do not need to do this with BBi cage.
Got mine on sale from BBi whereas I have not seen the Cantrell one go on sale.
Both will do the job nicely.
