Just curious here. You said no thank you and politely walked away, how far did you get or did they just call you later that day. Very cool how it all went down.

...that's what RS is for.
some argue it's only good on track. meh. it's better for home depot, dropping kids off school, grocery, tail gate party with the wing... no i am not kidding. every sat morning i drive it 13 miles to my fav cafe to get mocha and pastry and eat it while parked illegally on the street on the wing.

OP, a massive congratulations! Another TN RS...and no too far from me, hooray! I don't track much and really liked driving my GT3 on our country roads, didn't think much could top that. The RS really does! It's a significantly different car both in terms of driving characteristics and aesthetics.
You'll love it!
p.s. Sending you a pm.

Congrats and I agree with the earlier poster that this is another example of being willing to hold out for the offer that makes sense. Always be willing to walk away. You got rewarded for that.

We were discussing the whole thing via e-mail. They sent rough numbers on the trade and I politely said I couldn't take what they said they could do. Told them I'd have to wait for a .2 and private sell my car at that time. Several hours later the numbers improved substantially.

Congrats on your new ride.
I'm a couple of hours east of you just south of Knoxville and took delivery a week ago on a new silver RS I had ordered from an out of state dealer. Learning to love the car. Pretty hard to get in the thing without a big grin on my face and so glad I too upgraded from my GT3.
Enjoy in good health and maybe we'll cross paths, or highways, one of these days.

OMG, not another RS! There won't be enough room on the planet for
all these things😲 These things are multiplying like horny rabbits.
Tim: Welcome to the sea of RS owners. 👍
You made the right choice.

Very nice.
Sorry for the slobber marks.......I was drooling on the car this morning when they were unwrapping it.
I live west of the city with some nice country roads. Look me up and lets scare some livestock when you want to open it up a bit.
