Dashboard leather wrinkles

Dashboard leather wrinkles
My RS was delivered in Jun/2016, recently i noticed the dashboard leather has some visible lines/wrinkles. Is this normal?
i am a bit reluctant in changing it under warranty if Porsche will do it...
will this problem appear again years after?

This should be a warranty issue. I'd get them to change it. I had something similar with my 997 on the door panel after delivery. It was changed without any issues.

That's a warranty claim, but I'd hate to have my dash pulled and replaced. Tough spot to be in. Sorry to see.
Since the June 2016 delivery, I assume the dash has never gotten wet? Has it ever been conditioned with any leather care product?
Stuff like this makes me always happy to take the 30 seconds to use my $7 sunshade from Walmart. Long term, I think it helps this potential sun damage (not suggesting this IS sun damage).

Car stayed 5 months in a underground covered parking and in the last couple months in a covered garage but not closed. I use a porsche outdoor cover.
never cleaned the car (only 400km).
i have doubts if the dashboard will be the same after replacing it...probably better to stay like that.
Yes is a pts gulf blue!

^Beautiful RS man!
Honestly though, that is unacceptable for the price of this vehicle.

WOW
This color is just perfect---do not ever sell your car---that is a lifetime keeper---
I agree with LEXVAN----not sure about having the dash pulled to be replaced---i would be concerned with the "removal / Installation " process---however the wrinkles would get under my skin a bit---
Maybe suggest Posche extend warranty an addtional 2 years in lieu of replacing dash?
I wonder if the storage with humidity created the issue--not looking for blame---it is clearly a warranty issue----After Porsche extends your warranty---go to a great (high-end and trusted) ulphostery shop---they can most likelly remove the wrinkles---
Cheers

I would 2nd the motion to leave it alone adds 'character' mentality …
I think removing that dash would open you up Pandora's box for sure!
Beautiful just the way it was delivered !!!

I don't know why everyone's so afraid to have them fix it under warranty. Porsche knows what they're doing. Take it to the dealer, have them look at it and ask them what needs to be done to rectify it. Two things, if you're OCD, this is going to bother the crap out of you. Also, if you ever plan on selling it, it's going to be a slight knock against it. That being said, NEVER sell this car!!! But do get it fixed, it's under warranty and you paid a boatload for this car, it should be perfect!
