What do you use as winter DD car (if you have real winter where you live)?
What do you use as winter car or what do you think is a good winter car?
I mean real winter with snow, ice etc.
I'm thinking about getting some winter car that could also make a good combo with GT3 at summer if needed.
I currently use R230 SL500 as a winter car, but this gar is slowly getting "cool retro" instead of "outdated", so I'd rather keep it in the garage at winter. Our winters are merciless to cars.
Also, having 4WD is always good. My SL is almost perfect at winter on studs, as it has Airmatic and can be lifted under surface really high when needed. But it's RWD and also quite heavy like all convertables.
The problem is I don't know what I would like as a winter car, so any ideas or experience sharing would possibly help.

Toyota Landcruiser 120 diesel in Sweden. Can sit for 10months and just fires right up.
Changed brake pads this summer. They lasted 100k miles. Took 20min.
Change oil when you feel like it.
I spend a lot of time looking after my Porsches. Don't want to spend any time on a DD.

I have the Macan S for the winter. I ordered it with air suspension and the 21" wheels. I just purchased the only full snow/winter tire made in the 21" staggered sizes I need and they will go on this week. I don't care what anyone says the most important thing for the snow isn't the car/SUV. It's the tires. A Ferrari with snow tires will do circles around a Range Rover with summer tires in a few inches of snow. I should be kicking *** in the snow with these pirelli scorpions and the awd and clearance.

My DD is my 2016 Cayenne Turbo S. I'll be having me Pirelli winter tires mounted soon. But I will hold out as long as I can.
Winter SUCKS.....esp if you're a 'car guy/gal'.

BMW 328i X drive wagon with Michelin Alpin A3 snow tires (MPSS for other 3 seasons).
Fun to drive, goes through anything, practical, versatile. A bit anemic in power, but fine for my needs. I also like the lines of the wagon. First pic is winter wheels, second pic summer wheels
Hubby has '15 Panamera GTS and hates getting it dirty so it doesn't see much winter but it's there if we need it.
