OT Lewis Hamilton
I wasn't sure where to post this and I checked the other forums for applicability but couldn't find a home for this topic so I thought I would post here - please move if inappropriate.
A couple of weeks ago I had an opportunity to meet Lewis Hamilton at a wedding party that one of my closest friends' was hosting for his daughter. In terms of age difference, Lewis could be my son so it's a bit of a balancing act to present yourself as a huge fan, while engaging the person in a conversation that goes beyond " gee I'm a fan and watch all the races." So I approached Lewis, introduced myself, and took the obligatory picture with my son and daughter. Now what really surprised me was how warm and friendly he was. There were 350 people at this wedding and there were many who were wanting to talk to him, but he and I spent the next 20 minutes talking about F1 and cars before an attractive lady whisked him away. During our conversation I asked him what changes he would make if he were in charge. He said as a kid growing up and watching Michael Schumacher, he was blown away by the sound of his screaming 10 cylinder power unit at full revs. So that's the first change he would make. The 2nd would be to reduce the level of down force to enable more passing and better racing. Towards the end of the conversation he asked me what my favorite cars were, so I told him the 918, P1 and LaFerrari. At that moment Lewis breaks into a big smile, pulls out his mobile and shows me a picture of his LaFerrari.
I share this story because I was so impressed with Lewis, his warmth and willingness to share. Not only is he arguably the best race car driver in the world, but one of the nicest famous guys I've ever met.

I had the pleasure of meeting Lewis too at the F1 race in Azerbaijan. He was very approachable, polite and friendly to us. We chatted for a bit and he even insisted on having my wife join us for some photos. Needless to say we are fans and have been for a long time
