Default How to install 6-point racing harness

Hi everyone I am new to 911 and this forum hope you can help me with this - trying to install the option 6-point racing harness on my GT3 bucket seat, run into two issues:

Q1 - is it possible to reach and unscrew the bolt on the seat base facing the center console that holds the stock 3-point seat belt WITHOUT REMOVING the whole seat? (seems there is no space whatsoever for any tool to reach that bolt in the small gap there) This is for attaching one of the lap straps.

Q2 - how to attach the sub straps to the seat base rack? There is no hole for bolting on the strap brackets there...

Many thanks

sorry for the large photo dimension hope you can see clearly.

Q2 - this is underneath the seat, how to attach the sub-strap brackets as there is no hole for bolting?

Yes I do, so no problem with attaching the two shoulder straps.

on reflection i suppose the two sub straps can be just strap on the bar underneath the seat (instead of bolting them on). That leaves the left lap strap as the only remaining problem as that bolt is out of reach.

Tried again, I can reach the bolt but don't think there is enough space to take it out (its own length is longer than the gap there)...give up, I am not going to take the whole bucket seat out...

I installed the passenger side 6 pt harness in my 2015 GT3, it took me about 45 minutes. The bolts near the tunnel are the most difficult, but it is possible without removing the seat, you just need a long wrench and some patience. For the bottom centre, if you look closely at the carpet in the middle of your photo, the carpet has a partially cut rectangle. Run your hand over the carpet and you will feel the seam. Carefully cut the bits still attached to the main carpet and a piece of carpet with about 1 1/2 inches of foam will pop out. Under this you will see the anchor point for the crotch strap. Look on the Schroth website for the proper setup dimensions of the shoulder straps on the cage crossbar.

It's much less of a headache to just take the 4 bolts out holding the seat to the floor. You don't need to take the seat out just tip it out of the way.

Will the 6 pt lap belts share the same mounting point as the stock belts? If so, could you please post photos of both sides? I'd like to see how this all goes together.

Here are 2 photos I took yesterday of the passenger side of mine. The floor mounts are shown and the carpet cutouts as I explained in my previous post. The other is of the outside mount bolt, the Schroth harness comes with the longer bolts and spacers, but you can see the buildup order on the bolt. I couldn't get the camera in to get a shot of the inboard side.

Wait. Let me get the straight. The mounting points for the anti-sub straps shown above are already there in the US versions of the car??

Edit. Nm. You are in Dubai. Nontheless, I will double check. Not holding my breath...
