I mentioned this in the sport bucket thread but no definitive answer. My current 996 GT3 buckets are tight on me. Does anyone know if these new 991 buckets are a bit wider bolster to bolster ? Perhaps those with 997 GT3 buckets can answer that are familiar with the 996 version ? 1" more in width would make all the difference for me with the 991 GT3, otherwise if they are the same width, I may be forced to order my car with the regular seats. TIA.
I am 6'6" 240lbs.

I had the 996 GT3 buckets and also the 997 GT2 buckets. Their fit was very similar. The only way someone could know what the 991 GT3 buckets will be like is if they've sat in a 918, on the assumption that the seats will be identical when they make their way into a GT3.

I have a 2014 UK clubsport with the buckets. Much more comfy than 997 and 996 I had. I am 6ft 2 and 220lbs. I think you guys get different buckets though?

I would say at least and inch wider. Bigger at the back as well

So what you are saying is that stateside we get the "Americana" bucket for our population, i.e. average Body Mass Index is slightly higher than average European BMI. ;-)

I think Eduardo needs to weigh in here, I know for certain he has sat in the 918 seats in a 918 and owned a Boxster Spyder with 997 style GT2 buckets.

I think a nicer way to put it, it that Porsche recognised that globally people are getting bigger!

Its when the sport seats are too small you have a real problem
