Default We have so many Spyders on here we should have a Spyder thread...

where we all post on a single thread pictures and anything on the daily lives of the Spyder. I have two other P Cars and this is rapidly becoming my favorite. I don't miss my Cayman S at all.

Since the registry is no more perhaps a thread like that would serve as one with pictures and descriptions. Just an idea as I would like to see all of yours and glean information on how you are modding or even washing them.

This one?http://boxsterregister.org/forumdisplay.php?f=102

I keep forgetting to call and get my password they setup for you when you join ( kind of a weird deal IMO) Is it a good community? I've been with PCA for a few years but outside of last years parade only make some of the DE events.

there are a few regular Spyder owners over there but not much activity
we could make it more active, just need to go over there and post pictures, etc (I'm surprised more folks don't hang out over there)

but like you, I'm sure most Spyder owners had or have other P cars
I started a website (intended to be Spyder only) after Donovan folded his
I have a wealth of info if I ever get time to get the website up and running actively

want to know about a specific VIN, I've got it (I've got them all)
want to know how many cars have no radio (mine doesn't)
just need to find some time to cull data, put it somewhere useful

cheers,
Steve

I will make the effort. I am a regular on P9 and love the site but now that 987's are on their 4th owners I am tiring of seeing the same sort of Q/A posted. Plus there are so few of us I would love a more specific location. I, of course, love yours!

If it's a matter of hosting space, I can offer up room on the KCWS.org site for it. Let me know, I'd love to help out.

Here's a very flattering article on the Spyder: http://www.scmp.com/lifestyle/motori...drive-lifetime

Reads like pretty much every other article you read about the car, rarely a disappointment.

Thanks for that. BTW Were you or are you a current US Marine?

Thanks for the article! Have never seen this one. My favorite reviews are the ones on Jalopnik, Excellence and Kilometer magazine.

Thanks for posting this Afshin. Cool article.

I am 100% in favor of a 987.2 Spyder Folder here in Rennlist. Why not? The 918 has one. Not to compare, but after reading the above article it makes perfect sense.

How do we make this happen?

A .2 Spyder forum would be great. Does anyone know how many are represented here?

I don't post much but my wife and I factory ordered one in January 2011. We came from a 996 turbo. Love the Spyder and would not trade it in for anything. Last of the breed, light weight, manual and that ooooo so visceral feel when driving!

Cheers
