965 rockers and bumpers
I'm considering 965 bodywork for my other car, not the one in my avatar. What are the options: Duraflex, MA Shaw? Are the Duraflex better than other fiberglass alternatives?

From everything I've read about aftermarket bodywork, you just don't take it out of the box and get the fit and finish you would have from a factory job. It will take some labor to achieve the look that you want to achieve.
I read good things about Getty Design but they may not have everything you want or need.

yes, that's what I hear. my impression is that the duraflex parts have some plasticizer in them for flexibility, more like OEM, less likely to crack. do you know anything about them?

The video is interesting but how does the stuff fit? What is the surface finish like? We won't know the answers until someone buys a kit.
The Maritime blue Turbo picture on their web page was taken from the internet so it's no indication of the fit of their product.
Look familiar?

If your other car is a real 964 then I would buy factory parts or at least run 930 modified rear quarter panels. I have a couple of the shark fins and I believe one rocker panel - the rubber smile that attaches to the bumper to the fender, beautiful hard back seats - and I can custom make wheels to fit. Since you have no turbo trailing arms you can get 11.5 or 12's under the rear flares. jdorociak@gmail.com Jim

Thanks Paul. The other car is a '77 conversion w 3.6 for DE so, no, it's not a real 965. I have a front bumper w splitter and 930 quarters and 315's out back so I'm playing with the idea. Seems like the rockers should work, eh?
As for the Duraflex products, I have not heard much about their fit/finish but Jim Tweet on Pelican seemed to imply that he preferred them to standard fiberglass construction. I can't get anyone to speak up personally though.
Jim, thanks for your input. I'll pm you for details.
