I re-read this article this morning and I have to tell you it really moved me. What a great tribute...
And on an unrelated note - I found it interesting to recall that the early 928 models had a psychedelic cloth interior pattern named 'Pasha'.

Thanx Jay, i must admit that when I read it, it moves me too.
We considered the Pacha interior but couldn't find a donor. We would make the switch in a minute if one stepped up. The funny irony is Jim hated that interior and was insulted by the similarity of the name. He said it gave him a headache and that it looked like it belonged in the foyer of a Reno pleasure house. That settles it. We need that interior to really tick him off.
Arash, more pix. Daniel wants more pix.
Another secret. The Tiptronic shift lever contains the following revised lettering
S- Stop
B (backwards)-back up
0- nothing
G- Go

Yeah, I think the Pascha interior would be a good finishing touch. The "foyer of a Reno pleasure house?" Not having been to one, I will just have to trust his description. It is definitely a love it or hate it fabric; but then again so were some of the other fabrics Porsche used in the 70's. I do not think that the 928 seats fit the 968 rails, do they? If not, you would need to find some fabric, some of which is still available and create the seats. I think creating seat covers instead of reupholstering would be the easiest.

OK, here are some more pics.
After the volunteer sanding sessions, there were still areas that needed sanding. This little air compressor was running pretty much constantly, but did the job.
When it first came back from the artist.

HA! I took those with my phone, spur of the moment. My brother took a bunch of nice photos with his DSLR, I asked him to post them here when he can.

Was this your doing? If I knew, I'd have updated the pics! Of the 3 cars featured, I own 16.633% of them.
