Race Car
I have a feeling that I might know who bought it. I saw this car in person at Thunderhill and took some pics of it...

That's an owner not knowing what he had.
I called 2 hours after it was listed and he said he had a deposit and his phone was ringing off the hook. If I was "not nice" I would have offered him more then his asking price for the car. I was ready to purchase a plane ticket for my son to drive it back. That car was way under priced.
I know the Speed yellow cab that recently sold could have sold 5 times over. Should the seller have asked more????

Well believe it or not in a weird series of events I actually dug up this guys phone # about 2 weeks ago after talking with several people who had seen this car around the bay area. As I had spoken with Jeff regarding the mint green cars and was going to be pursuing this car in a month or so Im not kidding.
I remember it being for sale for $18K dollars on craigslist in Santa Barbara in 2007 or 2008 if I remember right.
So I hadnt called him yet just had his name and # but now that I saw this thread I just got off the phone with him. He was very nice gentlemen who said he has had the car for 7 years and is now retired with grandkids and has no use for this well preserved high maintenace $$$ car anymore. He did say that he had about 10 calls on it in the first day and it was sold sight unseen to a man named LEO in Staton Island, NY deposit taken that day and was picked up the next morning bye auto shipper.
So whoever this Leo is he got a undervalued rare car for sure, I hope it stays in this country. Maybe we will see it at a high line auto dealer for $25K next week?

Well, no surprise. The car has turned up at a dealer in NJ.

Looks good and picked up some nice wheels.

Top Gear is a weird place. They had an ad for a 944 S2 on Craiglist. I called to ask for an appointment to see it. The guy who answered asked how I found out about it and then proceeded to say he had an ad in Hemmings with a higher asking price and that he wouldn't sell it for less.
Essentially, I had to promise to pay full asking price before seeing the car??? I will never bother calling them again.
They may have nice cars, but their methods are questionable. Search the internet for more stories.

They state the car now has 6K miles on it. It had 67K miles on it when they purchased it. Hopefully a typo. Also, Mint green is rare (only 3 including mine and this car) but it is not color to sample. It was a standard offering in 1992!

Definitely a shame the community missed purchasing that car. Seems like a high end place but they don't have a website? They also have Jerry Seinfeld's maritime blue 964 speedster in stock.
