I have one of these, half price and is designed for the 968.

EDIT, I also have the brace, and you need that too.

And on 2nd thought, they are NLA for now, I believe there is a rumor of production starting again.

Your link says:
"This is the new and improved Firewall Brace.

Reinforces the flimsy Firewall that is prone to cracking.

Works only in conjunction with the Design 1 Racing 968 Strut Tower Brace."

I don't have that strut tower brace, or any brace that I know of. Will this part work without the Strut Tower Brace, or do I need to get the Strut Tower Brace as well?

Thanks

According to the updated website, they list it as working on the 968 now:

I didn't have the time last year to change out the clutch slave & master so I had my mechanic do it. He's an old school, "if it didn't come on the car from Porsche I don't feel comfy installing it" kinda of guy. So I still have my firewall brace, but I will get it installed one day cause I believe its a worth while preventative improvement.

Normally I agree with that when the car is newish, but in 23+ years for the 968 and 35+ years for the the 924/944 platform, tech has changed a lot!

Not to mention some flaws have been found and this is one of them.

with my continuing heavy clutch pedal situation, I bloody need this.....

might be a good one to have Karl W./(PorscheDoc) do for me next time I'm in his neck of the woods.

Does this work seem like a sensible prophylactic measure for a 968 daily driver?
