Correct me if I'm wrong, but if this was an original '94 case, shouldn't the L in #62L09136 be an R? L points to a '90 case, does it not?

Also, I suspect you may have misprinted the VIN...the fourteenth digit is probably a 0 [zero], not a D. GLWS.

I did notice the case number does not have the R in it but the engine code on the block is correct. The block still has Porsche factory VIN tag on the case when you run it comes up as a 94 3.6 turbo.

You are right the D is a "0" I corrected that, it still comes up as a 94 3.6 turbo engine. Not sure how two out of the three number are spot on and the case number does not have an R in it.
