My 964 Turbo rejuvenation project
I recently ventured back into 964 ownership and picked up a Black Turbo with Grey leather.
The car suspension and bushes were fairly tired along with the brakes needing TLC.
It had recently had a top end rebuild so I was fairly confident in the engine although it seemed to be idling high and also produced a puff of white smoke on start up. The Turbo had also been replaced so I was fairly certain that expenditure was going to be on renewing worn items, mounts, rubbers, bushes and other things I wanted to change such as wheels, steering wheel and gear ****.
I have really bonded with the car so far, loving charachter of the power delivery and although suspension is tired, whilst driving I would have glimpses of what it would be once it was refreshed.
This is the car when I first picked it up looking fairly standard.
I bought a new steering wheel in black to compliment the grey leather
I thin managed to find a set of RH's which I had re finished to standard silver, I was so excited to get these on.
Looking so much better, wheels and ride height really do make the car.
Does anyone use spacers with RH?
So onto the other plans....
I dropped the car off last week to have the engine and gearbox oil changed as well as check all boost leaks, fuelling, afr's and make sure its running properly.
These will go on along with new OEM bushes and ARBs.
I am taking the Cargraphic rear box off and replacing it with the item below and a standard final exhaust.
I will use this thread to detail the project of getting this beast back to a pristine machine with a few subtle mods for handling, power and noise!
Wish me luck!

Three Wheelin'
Congratulations great looking car, I have also ordered a similar steering wheel but without the coloured porsche crest.
I like what you have done to it. Enjoy it in good health.

looking good lee. I added a 10mm spacer to the rears on my 930 and lowered it, made all the difference. Stance is definitely important to make them look right. Something about your rear wheels doesnt look right at the moment (could be the photos). I think spacers and maybe another 25mm lower with do the job (sorry just seen you havent fitted the suspension yet) give it that fat, low, wide look it needs.
Probably the only other changes to make are some script across the wind shield that says "Watcha gonna do" .....and change your name to Mike Lowreeeeyyyyyyyy LOL
Is that your yellow RSR next to it???

The PSS10s go on this week so will drop it to RS height and see if it needs a spacer then.

Love the RS rear glass. Thought I heard that RS glass is non-functional for the rear de-fogger.

So RS ride height is good for a turbo?
Does anyone have measurements from level ground to centre of arch for RS height?
A bit of rake I think is always good.
