Oh joy! So I assume the foam seals need to be replaced when the HVAC fan is replaced ? Question, I think the foam seal "snow flakes" are coming from both drivers and passenger sides but only passenger side is in need of replacement. Would it be advised to replace both at same time ? I know it's harder to get to drivers side w/ what appears to be AC lines / hoses etc. while I can get to passenger side easy by myself. Thoughts ? Thanks all- you guys rock!

Message to Jeff W Virginia Beach. Reading an old posting last night about you removing 964 front heater motors left & right with two hack saw blades and a puller to remove the squirrel cage. Question for you or anyone else on the forum is...Having removed the two torx bolts should the blower motor pull out or do i have to lift/move/displace other parts to remove the unit?

Its been about 10 years since I had to service mine but to pull the motors, you need to release some spring clips. I too used hack saw blades to remove mine. See this thread

Thanks Rob
I sent the CCU back to those guys in FL that promised a software upgrade as part of the refurb. expect it back this week so we will see if it was money well spent.

three separate recommendations to send it to Loren.
so, you choose to send it elsewhere? and probably spend 3x as much money.
weird.

I know Loren and he modded my spoiler control module. He would be great to repair the unit but I want to get the software upgrade the other guys did. There is some thought process going on..well at least most of the time.

i have the same problem. I read the foam seals but they are grey? and the flakes which are blowing in my interior are white. looks like plastic.
Anyone got the solution ?
