WTB: 964 C2 hardtop manual trans
It was suggested I make my own thread. I'm looking for a driver. original paint is preferable. I will lightly modify the car (dampers, wheels, light flywheel, etc), so it doesn't have to be completely stock. Records are preferred. I don't mind a little bit of a project if the price reflects it. Prefer under 70k/mi. Looking to about $45k. Could go a little higher for the right car.
I prefer white, red, and blue. No green. Not super excited about the gray and blacks, but would consider if the price is right.
Newer is better obviously, but I could use some guidance from you guys. I'm in SoCal, so west coast cars are easier to collect / see /ship.
Thanks for the help,
Matt

Going to be tough at that price. Looked for 3mo. Not a lot out there.

Under 70K miles another hurdle.

I see one or two WTB Manual C2 Coupe threads every week. This is definitely the 964 to have.
I was looking for the same car and got lucky and found a great modified driver that needed a little TLC. The car has been a blast and was definitely worth the search. Be diligent, have your cash ready to go, and be ready to put a deposit down quickly.

I set my pricing expectation by looking at cars on autotrader and cars.com. Granted, the owners aren't responding which I assume means the cars are sold, but are these poor representations of what is avaiable? Or do you assume at this price point, the cars won't check out?

I guess this also says that the Targa is the rarest. Rare doesn't always equal more desirable in terms of market demand/pricing.

Still on the search guys. I've come close on 1 car that I may still move on, but it wasn't quite right. Let me know what you see. Cars with performance bolt ons are ok.
