Default Anyone else had this issue with their clocks?

Looks like a very thin layer that could be brushed off, but in loath to do so incase it will make it worse.
Anyone had / dealt with this?
Many thanks

Looks like you may ned to get a new face for that gauge. Hard to tell from the photo.

They are some aftermarket ones and OEM ones. Good time to change the color if you're gonna change it. FVD sells some pretty cool ones.

Strange though, was it in the sun or something a lot?

It's weird, can't tell if it's delaminating or something formed on it. Are you going to repair it yourself or send it out?

I've taking a few gauge's a part on my 964. Had to repair my odometer/tripometer. It's not really hard, but takes some patience to get the lens off. That's the hardest part.

It is delaminating. I would not mess with it. It is a fairly common problem. North Hollywood Speedometer is your best bet. Curious on the cost if you get a quote as one of my cars is in a similar state.

Default yup

Had it.

I took the glass off and removed the plastic between the two glass halves. Then I used a toothpick and an exacto to remove the laminate from the lights. Good enough for me for now.

I had the same issue , told that humidity helps cause this , I took off the face myself carefully and with modelling knife cut around lights (carefully) and the flaking part literally fell away. Took 1 hour and lights are now clear and a lot brighter , most wouldn't know to look at it , and I will eventually get all the gauges refaced.
