Default attaching action cams e.g. gopro

How are you guys attaching your action cams or go pros to your cars for unique footage/shots? I have the standard suction cups for the outside and windscreen and made a tripod with suction cup feet.

would like to figure out how to mount the camera between the two seat headrests. Any suggestions?

Can't imagine driving through the alps with a tripod on top but if the pic is anything to go on the resulting video should be amazing.

Google Street View is using 964s now?

I installed a Brey-Krause harness guide bar and use a Manfrotto Super Clamp plus a GoPro tripod adapter to mount my GoPro for in-car footage, mainly used when I autocross.

I also have used one of the sticky mounts that comes with the GoPros on the windows.

I've been using suction mounts with decent results...

will have to get the tow hook and tow hook mount soon, would be nice to get a different perspective.

I found that mounting the suction cup on the hoot led to a bouncy shot..

Has anyone recorded driving video using an iPhone 6/+? The video image stabilization is pretty cool for a phone....

My FlipVideo has been collecting dust in a drawer for years, as any smartphone makes it redundant.

Wondering if GoPro's days are numbered as well.

What is the focal length on an iPhone camera? The GoPro and other action cameras have a pretty wide FOV (field of view).

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any real footage using that set up. That photo was taken when I was headed to a porsche meet and when I got there I was asked to document the drive.

Here's the video for those interested. It's no Driver X.

Been wondering if I could achieve the same thing using the standard towing eye and a bike seat post mount.

"iPhone 6 has a slightly wider focal length equivalent (29mm versus 33mm for the iPhone 5) "

RAM suction mount is solid ... quality and light but plastic .. using for garmin cam

I also have a Brey Krause roll cage camera mount too - sturdy metal one (for sale) for gorpro and others

... and also use the GoPro handlebar mounts on roll cage but not perfectly sturdy (ie some shake, rattle noises)
