Pulling the leaking steering rack. Either going with the Rack Doctor at $200.00 or Autozone at $475.00 or Vertex Auto at $490.00. Plus any core charges.

I just discovered how to take wax off of rubber after years of trying everything. 000 steel wool and Fantastic spray. Can't even tell it was ever there. Didn't have to scrub hard. A little blue tape would be advisable. I then used back to black to make it look super pretty. Did it on the rubber at frunk to bumper.

I don't have the right size Oetiker clamp to fix my C2 power steering hose but it should arrive on Monday.

I did setup my 1000lb lift table cart today to help with my upcoming C4 engine drop. Gotta love Harbor Freight. It was a mistake to not get one of these earlier. I usedan ATV jack before which doesn't have the big flat surface or lift height. This thing will allow me to get my C4 engine onto an engine stand. ATV jack is awesome if you don't have a lift and will do an engine drop with just the back of the car jacked up high.

I envy all of you that can work on your 964s. I have absolutely ZERO mechanical ability so everything is done by the mechanic.

My weekends are never spend working on the car only driving it.

So a few snaps from my run yesterday.

I used the same thing to drop the engine from my C4. was a bit tricky doing it by myself just take your time. I would suggest contact adhesive the rubber mat down so it doesn't slide and if you are not leaving the exhaust in place make some wooden supports before you begin to keep the engine from rocking.

I spent the weekend putting my A/C back in the car removing my GT3 seats and stripes,

I am a crazy concours guy so I am cleaning everything as I go. For a car that has been tracked it is in better shape than most street cars I have worked on. I recall removing the A/C lines to be a lot easier than they were to put back.

Once I swap out the suspension and brakes I will clean everything to concours winning level. It will be nice to have a C2 for the street again.

Fitted my Voltphreaks 2.2kg battery. At around £550, it isn't cheap, but it saved over 15kg! Considering people pay £2000 for a carbonfibre bonnet to save 5kg, it coud be considered a bargain!

It's an awesome piece of kit - you cannot believe it holds enough power to start the engine, but it does without any issues. Also very handy is the switch at the top that turns it off, which is useful if the car is to remain unused for any length of time.

I constructed the cf cage for it, choosing to maintain the upright position in order to have easy access to the switch.
