Hi dfwporsche,

That is a cool looking engine, beautiful job!

I'm pleased you've taken the time to re-route the A/C pipes. It's well worth it.

Cheers,
Paul

Dfw,

What type of plating was done on your fan strap? Zinc then passivate?

Nice looking CoP setup! Do you know which coils you ended up using for the nice snug fit?
I will try to get the stroke specs from Rothsport. The coils are the standard PSS10's

So did you swap to pre-964 glass/trim/seals for the front and rear windshields? I ask because I'm wanting to do something similar—change the black anodized trim to just polished aluminum for that "chrome" trim look.

Correct. Mine are polished aluminum and I prefer that look.

Aha! Do you happen to know the part numbers you used?

I've been having some trouble figuring out which front glass version, which rear glass version, and which trim to choose:

Here's a picture from the PET for the '87-'89 cars, showing like ten different front glass versions (and there are two different trim versions as well—so cray)

^--- I think the correct glass is one of the first two "1's"

Default some new pics

I took a trip up to Rothsport to drive it for the first time today! Incredible car. More pics when I get it back to Texas. Having a race driver (Jeff) drive this thing in the rain was quite the experience.

sounds great and much quieter then I expected too. Are you running any cats or resonators between the headers and GT3 muffler?
