Thank you so much. I was surprised at the number of parts to attach and better instructions would be awesome.

And the fact that they basically just toss them in a bag with no labeling ensures that you trial and error a lot. I removed my hard top yesterday in about 10 minutes and took some additional photos that I plan on incorporating into the write up.

You can always start the process by removing the required peices from your soft top (the two pillow-y gaskets that are screwed into the top and rear portions of the window surround via an aluminum plate; simply peel back the rubber cover, and unscrew from the hard top frame). Mine had some bends from the broken hard top, so I had to straighten out.

I ended up spending the extra on all new seals. Mine were so old and hard that I went with all new. It was definitely pricey but could not see using those old cracking ones.

Want to send me one of those old cracked seals? Somehow I'm missing the smaller passenger side rear seal and was going to start working on designing a work-around.

It's standard. Could be kind of cool if they did give you an option for the stitching color or something.

With those of you that went with D Morris or others, do you run without the top as a Cab? If so I am curious what it's like when all finished and if it is reasonable to remove and replace seasonally.

I only operate my top in an unexpected downpour as I have experienced the broken bow. Light rains ok with me to get it home. A micro fibre towel is always handy. I am thinking of ordering an interior cover for when parked and weather changes.

The headliner is completely fiberglass. It only looks like stitched leather. So I guess you could paint the stitches if you have the patience. It's getting pretty warm already here in Florida so I'll be switching back to the rag top soon. I'll post pics of that too.

Ok. I've got my 10-step instructions more or less complete. PM me if you'd like a copy. Given my mechanic quoted me 10 hours to install without the instructions, this should save you at least 5 hours of time.

Even though my engine needs a rebuild so is out of commision indefinitely, I am moving ahead with installation of the hardtop. It is at the painters right now getting fresh coats of Guards Red. It should be back sometime next week. Hopefully next weekend will start the install. Thanks dhc905 for your install instructions. They will definitely come in handy.

I have started getting ready for the return of the hardtop. I started checking the parts and went ahead and laid down the rear brackets. Unfortunately only 1 of the 3 will sit flat on the car while 2 hit the rear lip. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I just need to bend them?
Thanks.

Passenger side is the worst.

Middle hits a little and will not sit flat.

Driver side seems to sit okay, however I do not have the top to verify that it is okay there.

^^ You should have steel brackets as well; but that said, I had to bend mine using a blowtorch, vice, and hammer, so judging from your pictures, you came out pretty well!

I think you guys should write down all remarks and critics regarding the order, wait, package etc..., then have a proper Intruction Sheet co-written by all who had the chance (??!?) to fit their kit themselfes, then send all that to D-Moris.
Who knows, they might want to improve their quality service, even though they're bloody french !
Tell me about it !

If you want me to translate anything or introduce your feedback, just ask.

I haven't ordered anything from them but I had a quote for a Turbo-Look kit with some options and I was happilly surprised with their quick and accurate answer. Not so common among french small craftmen manufacturers as this.

I'll visit them next month, just to check their products with my own eyes. They are by the sea in a very nice area, so it's worth the ride anyway !
