UK 964 Sprint Day at Curborough
Saturday 8th November 2014
I am again organizing a friendly, competitive sprint day at the Curborough Sprint Course in Staffordshire.
The day will start at 10 am and run through until the light fades which should be something approaching 5 pm. I'm limiting it to 12 cars to ensure that we all get lots of runs over the day. This works out at £70 per car. There's no charge for passengers, shared drivers or to come along and watch.
The format of the day is one car on track at a time and we'll do both timed laps and standing start sprints. The track offers a variety of layouts and is as accommodating for those who just want to spectate as it is for those testing their skills on the track.
Helmets are NOT required although they are optional and, perhaps, recommended for those that have full roll cages. There's no catering so you'll need to bring food and drink with you. We usually have to be noise tested at some point during the day but we've only had the odd very loud car fail the test (it wasn't a 964).
Curborough is situated 20 miles North of Birmingham off the A38 trunk road between Burton on Trent and Lichfield in Staffordshire. The venue is Brown Signed once you are off the A38, and also the A515 from the West. Their web site is available at:

To go on the list you'll need to PM or e-mail me (boxsey at btinternet dot com) to arrange payment (bank transfer, paypal or cheque), as I'm responsible for hiring the track.

Well that's four of us...just need 8 more to ensure this goes ahead. I've cross posted it on the PCGB 964 forum to see if we can drum up some more support.

Interest in this has suddenly snow balled and the list is now full. If anyone wants to go on a reserve list in case of drop outs. Let me know.

New layout looks great with some extra tarmac here and there...

Hi Steve! Did you request my presence at Curborough then? Will have to have a word with Paul (Polar964) to see what's happening as I know that Harvey his lad often accompanies him on anything car related. Be in touch if I'll be there on the day. Brian.
