Automotive LEDs put out crazy amounts of heat on the backside. If you take a look at the newer cars there are heat sinks on the back of the units to dissipate the heat

He ordered the ones from Thom Design and he had a thread going on Pelican until it was deleted. They are the same lights Stuart saw at Essen and tried to get more information about, and there were some discussions here on RL. They seem to be of great quality, but without more information and communication from the seller, it is hard to justify spending that much money.

Just met a guy with a 75 year old Chevy with H4's. He bought his LED headlamps from Nappa. They were essentially plug and play. I will investigate further and report back. Would be cool to have LED lamps omy 964...

Yes, Laurent is right this is the Anna Thom system.

I've sort of given up trying to get any information out of them, I just didn't have the time to keep on chasing them.

The LED kit is approx. €1400.00.

They also offer cheaper options using different light sources.

Quality is good, but lack of information such as beam patterns so that we can see what we are paying for wasn't available, so justifying €1400 was for me, too much of a risk without that.

Looking forward to them fitted and then maybe we will have some before and after photos showing the beam patterns.

Gentlemen I ordered the system without too much info on the actual lens too. I did do a product search on the lens to find technical data. These are the lens...note the price on the site is for one lens only.

It looks like an H4 size bulb to me, and it's DOT legal.

So, why is nobody talking about this?
We've been running these on a couple of 928's for two years and they work fantastic. If they came in an 8" then I'm sure they would sell like crazy.

Found the Hella part in UK

https://www.incarmotorfactors.co.uk/en/quick-order

Are they 1400 a pair? Doesn't look like such a bad deal if these babies are nearly 500 quid each

Edit: sorry that's not even the dual beam one!

I agree George, this is my issue too.
So far no one who has installed or is promoting these has produced any sort of comparative beam pattern evedence, which is why I have persued the matter.
If I can get a set and do some research and produce the info we are looking for, if the results are good, they will sell.
