Question Replacing Clutch Hose

Quick question for those that have replaced their clutch slave cylinder and the flexible hose that connects to the slave - Do you need to depressurize the hydraulic system (pump the brake with ignition off until the pedal goes hard) before undoing the hose coupling? I was wondering if brake fluid would be under high pressure in the line otherwise. After replacing the hose I would bleed the line using the motive power bleeder just like with the brakes. Thanks

I would think that if there was pressure in the clutch line, it would make it impossible to drive the car, the clutch would be disengaged.

The fluid wouldn't be pressurized unless you're actively pressing the clutch as you remove the line.

Just like everybody else said no pressure in lines, the only annoying thing will be the brake fluid running down your hands when you take the hose off.

I have the hose and slave cylinder in stock and can ship out today if paid for in the next 30 minutes. I have the hose click here and the slave cylinder click here.
