Anyone know anything about this 964 RS racecar?
Does anyone know more of the history of this track car?
It's claimed to be a '93 964 RS(R) out of germany. Motor is a 3.9L 964. The fuel injection looks interesting, must be EFI:

From the pictures of the car, it has the right parts to have started out as either an RS or Cup, however, the parts could have been added to a garden variety C2 if one was patient enough.

Thanks guys. Yes, I'm sure the car has some issues. I know that right now it has a fuel leak near the fuel pumps. Not worried about fixing that, but there's bound to be some other stuff after it has sit unused for as long as it has.
I'm very curious to discover what sort of injection system is on this. Clearly it is individual throttle bodies, but not like anything I've come across on the net. I'm told it retains the stock 964 DME but with modified mapping. And has only been run on 110 octane.
Probably going to have to carefully inspect the mag wheels too, as from what I understand the centers crack -- correct? If so that's going to be an expensive fix, but I priced that in.
Yes, even with some issues, it does look like it will be a remarkable deal.

Welcome to Rennlist Preston!
I live in Carrboro, so I've love to see and HEAR the car when it shows up.
Are you planning on using this monster up at VIR?
I've seen some of your 356 posts, you've done a great job on that car. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one.
Best,
Udo

Thanks Udo.
Been reading Rennlist off and on for 10 years...but due to my P-car mix I admit to spending more time on Pelican. Thanks for your kind words on my 356. I have an '87 Carrera too, and a '09 997.2 that's my daily driver. This beast will be for VIR and CMP duty, yep. I've been using my '87 for DEs but wanted to step into something slightly more aggressive. This is a little bit more aggressive than I was originally planning, but I'm pretty pumped up about it. I'll get lots of pictures when it arrives and we can figure out what this thing truly is.
