If your car is set up to these numbers you should not have rubbing with adequate gap between the front fender and tire. It shouldn't matter what size wheel you are using so long as your offset and tire dia are within spec you should be fine. These are my 17 x 8 cup I's and this is the gap I have using these numbers normally I use 18's but it is the same look. As you can see the wheel is pretty much centered in the well. A lot of cars I see pictures of have the wheel sitting much further forward which I am not sure why since all three of my cars work out to be identical. If the wheel is sitting further forward I would double check the caster, tire dia and offset and make proper corrections..

JJM,
Your car is looking great! Ride height looks great, but how does it do on the boston roads? Any rubbing or bottoming out? Daily driver or show car? Thanks for sharing!

Trackcar - wow, love the all black look. Almost looks too good to take to the track, almost!
JV911 - what an amazing collection of cars. Thanks for the album link. BTW, looks like you switched to darker tail pipes!
I was solo all weekend, so took advantage of the opportunity to do tons of back road driving...
Leaving North Carolina in search of some curvy roads in Virgina.
