Arrow 964 Die-cast scalemodels

964 scalemodels are extremely rare. Even at Porsche shop near the factory in Stuttgart there is only a 1:43 Carrera 2 available. I've recently found a 1:14 die-cast model by Anson which is really well built ( Picture at www.anson-scalemodel.com/catalog/euro/30313.htm ). As far as I know it's available also in silver. The price in Italy is around 75 Euros.

Emanuele,

Is there a Coupe version as well?

There are often a few very small (1/43) models for sale on ebay, but I've never got round buying one yet.

Ciao

Actually, they are not that rare. I have bought eight on eBay over the last six months. Info on my site on the C4 PSH page. www.porsche954.co.uk.
I also now have a complete set of 1/24 plastic kits. C2, C4, Targa, Cab, RS, Cup, Turbo. Investing for my retirement!

Hey John,

Thanks for the tip. Ordered this black Targa from Minichamps. The price is reasonable (some 26 Euros), but the shipping is steep ... close to the price of the model. Anyway, nice to finally (soon) have a (black) C2 Targa model.

I too have struggled to find 964 models, but check out www.exoto.com no 964s but a few cool Porsche models. The detail is awesome.

cheers

Anson is a great source for these models. Have 3 1:14 cabriolets, white, silver, and red. All 964 C4's. All have working doors, steering wheel, bonnet pops when license plate depressed and engine compartment comes up as well. Great detail. On the red and silver the cloth cabriolet top actually cycles. Pretty slick.

Sounds impressive. You get excellent detail for your 75 Euros (a bit pricey).

Anson actually has a nice looking white Targa, but suppose I'll stick with my (much lower priced) black Targa--it matches my car, and I've already placed my order.

Anson lists a San Francisco address. Wonder if you can buy their products here in the U.S.--would save a hefty shipping charge. Monty ... where have you found/bought Anson stuff before?

Randall,

Sorry for the slow response - been offlist for a couple. All of my models I got on ebay. The latest from a gent in Miami (who indicated he was getting out of the toy business - who knows??? They were well/professionally packaged and never opened in orig box). Paid $25 each for the silver and red. He had about 8 for sale at one point (about 1.5 mos ago). Can provide detail if you desire - email me.

I tried to send you an e-mail, but the address given in your user profile did not work. As a new 964 owner, I'd be very interested to get the contact info for your model supplier.

Please e-mail me at marcdechocolat@hotmail.com.

Thanks,

Marc

Hey Monty,

Thanks for the information. If Anson had a U.S. distributor, I might try to cancel my order with Minichamps. Anyway, think I am better off with the black Targa with the incorrect color interior (beige/red? .... mine is black) than the white Anson Targa with the correct-for-me interior color.

Looking forward to putting my C2 model next to da' wife's Montego Blue (correct color) '96 Miata model.

Porsche964,
Guiloy have or did have a 964 C4 in 1/20. I have it in Guards Red with D90's and square mirrors, found it gathering dust on a shelf in a toy shop in Spain. Guiloy are Spanish BTW. Not sure if it is still available.

Question

Does anyone know where I can get a small C2 model coupe? I have seen there is a silver one as part of the Porsche 911 5 car series but I wondered if there is one separately for sale somewhere which is just the standard coupe shape?
Thanks

Thumbs up

Actually I bought the Vitesse amythyst C4 and a cheap Vitesse cup car and then changed the wheels and mirrors to give me a '92 C4 model.

All I need now is the right font for German number plates....
