you want "junior timer" for OE stuff or "junior power timer" for the newer/updated version.

I am not on the list, but if it is still possible to join it, I have an 86 944 Turbo.
I can take delivery in the US (I am locate abroad).

Thanks for arranging this.

Folks, thanks for all of the inputs and interest. As with most of us in Rennlist, we here have a day job that keeps us from our passion for these cars and that has distracted us from completing our supply sourcing ( wiring primarily). Please be patient and continue to send your friends this way if they are interested. As you can appreciate a critical mass of production helps lower supply costs.
I hope to have estimates to y'all by the close of January. In the meantime, feel free to ping me with questions or ideas.
Also, please note we will need a few donor harnesses (86, 87, 88 USA and ROW). Schematics aren't always perfect and this will help make sure everything is correct. If you are game to share them, PM me.
Thanks!

Not on your list at the moment but also interested. 1986 USA 951.

I want to see your plan to replicate the firewall feedthrough grommet / snorkel thing or would we have to salvage and re-use our existing part?

another 86 to the list.

There is another member here with a new harness that he has when I sold Blacky. That was part of the deal. I was scanning ebay and there it was, brand new, this was in 2001, picked it up for $500 in the Porsche box.

Not on here much anymore, but with my 86 951 with over 220,000 miles on the clock, I'm definitely interested as well!!!!!

Does it seem like this is going to come to fruition? Many have taken on this task before and failed due to NLA connectors and components such as the firewall snorkel.

When I built my harness, I spent a lot of time, money and effort hunting down the right connectors. Anything AMP is easy to source. Some of the other things not so much. Then I realized, modern weatherpack connectors are far cheaper and superior. Much easier to replace a couple of those on the car.

Snorkels can be reused but they're packed full of ancient putty that gives me a rash. It wouldn't be awful to just rivet an adapter plate over the old hole for a more reasonably sourced loom grommet. That's my plan for the after market EMS anyway.
