Default The Ultimate Silver Rose Enthusiast

About a year ago I tracked down an '88 Silver Rose for an eccentric friend who wanted a 'daily driver' in place of his 964 C2 that he has owned since new ... It was basically a solid car but a bit tatty ... he then got carried away with paint, full engine rebuild and an interior retrim in the original fabric. It's taken a year but today was the day he took delivery and he held a little party with cake, pink Moet, and got all the techs that had worked on it to dress up for the occasion. Just check out the waistcoat and tie ... that's what I call commitment to the cause.

Calm down, if you look close it is on a towel.

There is a guy who can redo entire interior for around $4500 I think.

If you knew the guy you'd realise it is just how he is. He's probably 60 something with the enthusiasm of someone who is 6 ... got to love it.

One of the nicest, kindest, appreciative and generous guys you would ever want to meet.

He is an account by day and a musso by night ... one of New Zealand's top drummers ... plays in Jazz band and military bands ... he's very excited that he can fit his entire drum kit in te back of his 'Rose'. It was a bit of a tight squeeze in his 964

I don't know if it's because I grew up with those cars but it truly looks to me like it could be a brand new Porsche bought from a dealer just today. Does not look like an old model at all.
