Default 987 Boxster S Wheels 18x8 and 18x9

Anyone riding around on a set of these? this is an old picture but you get the idea. There is a set for cheap near me and the owner says 'make him an offer'. Has tires on it too - 235/40/18 and 265/35/18. They look a little old though.

Just need a couple of pics of them on a 928 to get my buy-in. I may powdercoat them black too.

ET57 front, ET43 rear. The offset is identical to the 18" Cayman S wheel, which I have seen on some S4s running around.

I have the second generation Boxster S Wheels (Boxster S II). The fronts are 7x17 ET52 and the rears are 8.5x17 ET48.

Then the new 9" rears would stick out 11mm further, plus or minus the section width difference of the tires.

Does that mean a fender roll is required for fit? I wonder if the Cayman wheel guys on here had to do the same?

Dunno, you'll have to measure the tire to fender clearance on your car and decide whether an additional 11 mm will require fender rolling or not, depending on your comfort level with how close the tire would be.

Edit: Noticed that the offsets on the new wheels are 43.

I run Carrera III's 10" wheels on my car, 58 offset, with 15 mm spacers, and it fits. 265/40 -18. Quite close but it fits.
Rolled fenders from factory.

So, compare to mine, 43 vs 58, you'll be 15 mm further with those wheels.

With 9" wheels, you should be good.

I found a Rennlister who has these wheels on his OB. They look good IMO, but I would love to see more pix. The wheels were sold this weekend unfortunately but I am sure there will be others.

With ET43 and a 265 section those wheels would have been a tight fit and that with rolled arches if my late S4 geometry was anything to go by.

There are plenty of wheels that will fit but not many that work as Porsche intended. They designed the front suspension for a NSR of -10mm, not 0mm or +3mm. It is kind of ironic that front wheels that fill the wheel arch nicely do not work as well as wheels with correct offset unless of course they are wider and have plenty of offset.

Rgds
