What happened to the 29K mile GT for sale thread??

Maybe he realized he was about 10 too low?

Make sure he looks at the market before lists.

Just so I have this straight:
Hacker, please correct me if I'm wrong here - thanks.
- Permissible - A mere USER can post a link to an ad, with which they have no affiliation, in the "928s for sale" thread.
- NOT Permissible - A paying MEMBER can't post a car for sale on behalf of a friend.
Hacker, please correct me if I'm wrong here - thanks.

Who has the time to even complain about such a trivial issue.
Someone needs a life.
Hopefully, your friend finds a new owner for his car...and his health issues turn around.

agreed; this makes no sense and we should have a full explanation. There are too many other places in this world where rules are arbitrarily enforced or the limits are fuzzy. Shouldn't be the case here.

If this were a new rule I could understand some of the confusion here, this rule has been in place since as long as I can remember including when JD owned Rennlist.
Members can post their own items for sale. That is the rule..... There is even a limit to the number of for sale threads you can start each month, I think it's two but I'm trying to find where that is actually stated in the TOS.
The confusing part seams to be that anyone can post up any random car or part they have no affiliation with. Ever wonder why so many people post links to sale items and mention "No Affiliation"? That's why.... plenty of people understand this rule.
Are there a lot of gray areas in here? Absolutely, and there are plenty of times I don't like enforcing this rule. Like when some 100% new user pops in with a very interesting car for sale.
After I delete that thread, is it perfectly OK for someone else to start a thread about the same item? As long as they are a member and they have no affiliation with the sale..... yes.
This may seam a bit silly or petty but those are the rules.
For starters I cannot believe anyone would suggest this as a viable possibility. You cannot be serious.
Second - I'm only speculating someone complained because I was not "alerted" to any violation and rarely do the other mods police the 928 forum unless notified by someone. I didn't even see the thread in question until after it was gone.
So to sum up, if the GT for sale in question is posted anywhere else for sale and someone other than Cosmo starts the thread.........
