Default Injectors?

Hey...

Putting my GTS back together after a ring refresh. The mods are GT cams, Devek level II headers, and a copy of Louis Otts x-pipe that matches the Devek headers well. I also have a Shark Tuner and Wideband O2.

Question is what are some really good plug and play larger injectors for it. Probably around 30# or 36#?

I've heard some of the Ford and Volvo injectors that fit well have very slow opening times.

60# Siemens injectors are some of the best on the market.

Only need to adjust the ST for them.
And use the lower S4 o-ring.

Past that, plug and play.

Inj opening time 1.14ms.
Set size to around 57.
Then enjoy.

Rich,

I use a set of 30lb Bosch Design 2 "four hole injectors" that appear to work well. The only caveat being that I could not find any data on them for the opening time. I believe they were std fitment on some GMC [GMC part No. 24500369] and they are high impedance [14.5 ohms].

If you are using Sharktuner this is not a problem assuming you are tuning for AFR. I just set ST2 for the rating of 30lb and used the auto tune feature for the cruise map range and then target AFR's of 12.8 to 13 for the high load cells noting that I do not use the full load map feature given I felt my full load throttle switch may be a bit suspect.

The injector part number is 0289 150 934. I could really do with a couple of spares in case one packs up but then I purchased them as a "one off" brand new balanced set a few years ago when I was contemplating options for adding more power.

Not sure what power level these will support but pro-rata logic suggests at least 550 BHP. The only mod I made was to set the single pulse firing switch over point to 7k rpm to ensure they "did not switch".

Rgds

Fred
