Should be good for either. Haven't made my reservations for restaurants yet, but will this week and will let you know.

Used to work at TAM Communications in Stamford, CT with Art Director Chuck Queener. He is a talented illustrator/graphic designer/writer/journalist, etc. Chuck has been creating and producing the artwork, re: posters, flyers, brochure's, etc., for the Amelia Island Concours, Monterey Historic races, etc., for many years. Chuck is also one of the judges at the Amelia event. He said to get hold of him while at Amelia next week to chat. If anyone wants to jump in on the fun let me know because he's quite the character. First two posters below are some hanging in my shop and the rest are pulled from his website. More on Chuck here:http://queenerdesign.com

What's the estimated body count now up to ? Would be a good idea to RSVP the restaurants for Fri & Sat nights. T

A quick update on the eating establishments. Neither the Salty Pelican nor Slider's take reservations, but after speaking to them, they both say if we arrive no later than 6PM they should be able to seat a large group. At this point I am guesstimating 15-18 people. Slider's has the largest seating capacity with a total of 300 seats between outdoor, indoor lower, and indoor upper. Salty Pelican has the upper hand when it comes to tasty food.

I still have the Falcon's Nest to check with, they open the phone lines at 5PM. I will post an update after I speak with them.

Here are the links again for dining options:

Update 2: Falcon's Nest does not take reservations either, so it all comes down to arriving no later than 6PM at whatever dining establishment we chose. If anyone has a specific request let me know, otherwise I would suggest the Salty Pelican at 5:45 to 6:00 PM in order to get seats for everyone.

Cheers!
Carl

Hey Carl - For what it's worth, Salty Pelican seemed overwhelmed last Saturday night and it took about 45 minutes to seat 4 of us. We arrived at 6:30 so maybe that was the deal.

Hi Trey,

That is the conundrum with all these places since they don't take reservations I think. When I spoke to the managers they told me at all three locations, that 6PM seems to be the magical cutoff. So I think we will be fine if we show up at 5:45 at the latest. Let's keep our fingers crossed

Are you joining the dinner party Friday?

Cheers!
Carl

Hey Carl - wish I could but one of my kids is turning 13 on Friday. We're probably going to try to catch the Saturday festivities during the day.

Life is getting BUSIER with two teenagers in the house

We'll keep an eye out for the crew if we go on Saturday.

Have fun!

Trey
