Default Anyone going to Parade in VT?

19-25 June.

Anyone else going? Looks like a beautiful area. There are quite a few self-guided driving tours that look fun.

I managed to get a place to stay at the resort, but it's been a bit of a pain since they appear to have more attendees than beds, at least in the PCA block.

George, I'll be heading up with my wife to Parade. I'll get there Saturday and probably stay thru Wednesday. It's about a 4 hour drive for me from down in Mass.

It would be nice to get a good showing of 928 s there this year.

We're going, won the lottery and got a room at the lodge. We've never driven that part of the country and are looking forward to it.

I just signed up for one of the remaining cheap rooms, Sunday through Wednesday. We're three hours away. I don't really know what goes on at a Parade.

I tried with Luc, André and an other friend to get a condo but any of us got lucky.

But I'm still considering going. Don't know when yet.
Might go for one or more days. We'll see.
I can possibly get some lodging about 35 min. from Jay Peak on the Québec side.

I'm only about four hours from Jay so very tempting...

It would be really nice to meet some of you there.

A lot. It's like a big convention, with something going on all the time... aside from the competitive events like concours, rallies, etc, there are lunches and banquets, seminars, social events and best of all is typically the tours. There's a 30 page doc on the parade website that details the numerous tours, some directed some not (which I haven't seen before in my limited parade attendance). They even have some lunch and dinner cruises.

The factory/museum brings cars for the historic displays and there are usually cars from the Ingram Collection and the like. It's great to see cars like that all in one place... and that's in addition to all the concours cars.

Trying to talk my wife into the idea. Trailer the car out and rent a vacation home.

I'll be trailering mine since it appears that they changed the concours rules:

"No Demerit will be given to a car that is not driven to the event."

I have an open trailer, but if I can find an enclosed trailer to use, I'll be able to enjoy Sunday instead of spending all day cleaning the car after the drive up.

I just got housing yesterday! We were not accepted for the initial pass. So, we'll be there. We'll have other 968s in attendance as well. It should be a fun event and only 6 hour away for me compared to the usual 14 hours I've been driving over the past few years.

I think the gauntlet may have just been thrown down.... time to rally the Sharks.

It would be quite embarrassing to be outnumbered by 968s.

I own a large chalet 4 mile (6 kms) from Jay Peak. I was considering being there for the Parade but something has come up and I am no longer attending. I am therefore offering to rent out my place for the week. If you are interested, please PM me and I will provide photos & details. This place will sleep 10 in beds (5 bedroom, 5 washrooms, Sauna). WiFi Internet, Big screen TV with dish. 3/4 acre stocked trout pond, 2 acre property, etc. etc.

Just finished cleaning up and detailing the GT. I'll be heading up to Jay Peck Saturday (~4 hour drive) and take Sunday to freshen up the car before the concours.

Anyone else going to be there Saturday?

As the weather looks very good, I feel like going Sunday - Monday to see all the beautiful cars at the Concour d'elegance.
I would need to find a room near by though for Sunday night.

We'll see...

If it works, see you there guys.

Good luck to all Concours participants.

I am also going on Monday, with my friend, in his new Boxster. Should be arriving around 10:00. How about having lunch together?
I am not bringing down the 928. We are there for the day.
