They had a speedster with special "patina" on display last year! That counts as original dirt!

Richard gpweiss Blake and Bill: I'm registered for the Werks judged class with BC's Penance 86.5. I look forward to meeting you in Monterey, and hopefully BC will be there as well. It's true: that tattered Speedster caused quite the stir last year. I agree with Richard that Monterey is the best kind of automotive mayhem - pure uncut car cocaine. I can't bring myself to miss it, and I'm especially excited to have a 928 at Werks in our Honored Class this year!

I think we should definitely meet at Baja Cantina again this year. I can reserve a table outside on the patio if we can agree on a day in the week, and get a headcount.
We have some time, but by late July it would be good to finalize something.
Best regards

Richard,
Good idea. Baja Cantina is a Car Week classic. I vote for Saturday; it's a pretty mellow day in the Week with the Historics and Concorso running all day. Plus, everyone should be in town by then (I arrive Thursday).
All the best,
David

It might be a good ideas to do Thursday mid afternoon, and get there before the hot rods and exotics arrive. Maybe 2-3pm.. They usually also have a great bbq and it's pretty casual. Also get to see interesting cars and possibly sneak a peek at Quail entrants.
Friday is bad as it's Quail and Werks and getting in and out of Carmel Valley will be a nightmare at best. Unless it's Friday evening.
Saturday is out for me as I have two cars at Concorso and the Aston party usually takes all evening.
Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs work for me. I think it will depend on when people plan on arriving.
Maybe we can get a show of hands in interest, and pick a date and time.

I'm detailing the car Thursday afternoon, so I'll see everyone at Werks on Friday. Looking forward to it!
Richard, you'll enjoy having your cars at Concorso if you haven't shown there before. It's a really fun, fairly casual show, especially if you're an Alfa guy.

It will be fun to meet with you and the others. I agree Concorso is a fun casual event. I've attended several of them, and as far back as when they were at the Quail lodge.
It should be interesting this year, as I'm hoping a new Giulia is there with the TTV6 to give a once over. The pics sure make it look interesting.
Besides, last time the tribute to Zagato was pretty cool.
Cheers
