That's a good look for a Porsche 928.

Agree. Posting the (cr@ppy) picture from the ad here, since I hate it when old posts with old links don't have the pics anymore...

Picture of a picture lol. Front tire looks like it isn't bolted on. Are those Strosek wheels?

Maybe they are just selling the picture and not the car itself?

There was a rather combative guy named Russ from Texas that used to frequent Rennlist back in 2008 or so. His car had sidepipes.

My prior' 67 Corvette had side pipes. They looked and sounded great to me. But, damn, they hurt and scarred if you touched them while climbing out after a few miles. I made a point of not having them in my latest 67 Corvette buy.

Look at where your calves are the next time you climb out of your 928. Figure out if you are normal or a masochist. Then decide about side pipes.

Side pipes were standard on a "1928 Porsche"

Why not do a side exhaust like the SLR McLaren?

And under the fender...

I must say, one of the most unattractive exhaust notes out there (SLR). Don't know if longer pipes would help ,

I always wanted to do a nice clean side exit exhaust just in front of the rear wheel wells, through the rocker, with a brushed stainless steel plate to protect the body. Or possibly some Dr. Gas Boom Tubes, but even I with my poor taste wouldn't put side pipes on a 928.

Most Vipers sound crappy because there is no crossover. I think? only the old GTS coupes had a crossover

Mostly you hear an even fire 5 cylinder engine from the one side....no skip and burble of the typical V-8
