timing belt change out and WP replacement
Now that I have my gauge problem solved . I am going to tackle the infamous timing belt change out , I have decided to go with the PkTensioner to avoid have to readjust the darn thing. I bought a Gates belt and the updated Laso non metalic water pump impeller. I have read too many posts of failures and got scared,, to use anything else.. Also doing a Brake job on the front new rotors and pads..

I bought an Updated Laso pump. with plastic impeller. I am going to buy the PK tensioner from Roger . I hope to have the timing belt exposed tomorrow. after I button up my dash cluster.. Going Hog wild I am doing front brakes and rotors also tearing down the top of engine replacing all fuel hoses, coolant hoses , rad hoses, Fuel injector seals , Cam gaskets and powdercoating the intake and cam covers. Replacing vacuum hoses and tree. "In for a Penny in for a Pound"

For the water pump job - Careful with the water pump bolts as they often get corroded and can break on the way out. Before removal soak them with penetrant and give them a good wrap with a hammer and punch before removing. On the way out if you feel increasing resistance STOP. You can then spray with penetrant and reverse to help the penetrant chase down the threads. Wrap with the hammer and punch and repeat as necessary. I had two bolts that definitely would have snapped had I not done the above.
For the intake - Don't add up the parts purchases.

Hard to tell from the picture but that gear looks OK.

Mark, I used the red sealant on mine. I think it's a matter personal preference. You'll have to scrape it off, when ya change the pump the next time.
