Small vs. large louvers changed somewhere around mid-78 (approx Jan 1978).
William A, congrats on your new acquisition!

Pretty sure it's these.

Roger has them or will get them. If my PN isn't right, he's got the right ones.

I am the lucky steward of this early gem in the rough. It is definitely rough, there might be some of this involved!

I have long wanted an early car since before my long history with both an S4 and GTS
Fuel tank came out today, challenge to find why we had no fuel pressure, and now it may be that the fuel distributor is the next issue.
New challenge for me, will be in need of guidance and input from you fine folks!

Mark - alternative Mercedes injector 0437502047 - shorter than the original but works perfectly and cheaper of course.

Congrats, William! I'm thrilled to see a beautiful survivor like this one go to a great home like yours. I've assigned this car's entry in the 928 Registry to you - if you would be so kind, please edit the entry as your restoration progresses.

I am looking at the wheel finish and wondering if you guys know the proper way to restore to original. I looks like it is unfinished out of the casting, but can't tell is that is just the finish wearing off or how they were.
As always, input appreciated!

Given the corrosion delta between the inner rim and the wheel face, I'd say they were painted.
