SCCA race at Laguna Seca this weekend 3-28-2015 (Video UP)
Im racing the 928 again this season. Its the 6th season for the List sponsored. engine and my 17th racing season. Its still kicking and showing no signs of weakness. (car and me!)
after last years seasons of some hiccups... the brakes are now dialed through a lot of testing and pain, AND the transmission has been completely fixed due to a shift fork adjustment before the last race of last season. so, its all good to go. got to love my race prep for this season.... just show up and race.... ONLY in a 928!
If you guys are around, come on out. Looks like a pretty good group, although the american v8 supercars are not showing up in as many numbers as before. however, im just there to hit the rev limiter a bunch of times and race with whoever shows up.... looks like there will be some new guys in spec M3 E46s showing up as well as the rest of the GT1-2-3 folks so there should be a few cars to run with . Im running in ITE so ill be having some fun with the driving ambition , turbo NSX as usual.
Going to see how the turn out is, otherwise, i might start doing some nasa events, where they have a pretty cool class called USTCC (correction) . I can run my car as is in that and they seem to be getting a lot of publicy along with their championships at sears point being televised. Ill be checkiing that out too this season.

Great racing with SCCA once again. Laguna was beautiful and the racing was close. what more could you ask for. Car , as always , ran like a champ. 2nd in AV8SS . times were in the 1:37-8s. tires very old and tired.... great first race of the year. raced a few laps with a 2015 and 2009 GT3. what a machine. got some good rear cam of the main battle with the BMW S54 powered e36..... unreal on the brakes and cornering 295s A7s, but a little light on the power, so it made for a fun battle. pics and video soon.

Thanks guys.... .trust me... there are a lot that swing buy and look at the car and cant believe its 30 years old and is just basically, a gut and go race car. (with a bigger motor than a stock S4).
the mod list is pretty funny:
1. suspension
2. wheels and tires
3. headers /exhaust
4. wing and splitter
5. light battery
6. larger displacement vs S4
7. standard saftey equip required.....seat, belts, cage, firesystem, net, electric cut off.
stock ECU, airbox , radiator, all cooling , vents, breathers, etc, all stock.
Not bad for a 1:36.-7 car on very used hoosiers at laguna! But the most amazing thing, it just keeps on doing that , year after year after year, season after season! this weekend, all i did was put in a half of a quart of oil and change tires. I almost feel guilty out there!

Mark thats some very cool video,
I like where your standing on it coming down the hill as you leave the rest of the field,
it is a bit unnerving to be accelerating going down a hill,
and it takes some ***** to be doing it!
Can you say NO FEAR !
Well done sir.

anyway, the technology in all these cars are moving forward and the car (my 928) stays the same... PLUS the new tires are just so darn good, its hard to compete with the used stuff anymore.
looking into that GT3 cup car (the white one i was ahead of for a bit) its crazy to see that there is no gear shift lever!!!
