Thx for the props, Rog. Long way for me.... will have to trailer or ship. At least it'll have been recently prepped for Parade in Indiana. Haven't started that process yet, but you'll be getting a pieces parts order within the next month or so.

The Hammer would be ideal and much closer... although if strict originality is required, Jarrod says he has a lot of work to do. I'm happy to lend my D90s to the cause.

If the radio worked and you have the code I'd be interested.

Rob I have a few with codes squirreled away - let me make sure one works. Been stored a few years.

I've always admired the 928 since I was child..>As a lot of us here have.

Being a professional automotive designer the appreciation goes one step or two further as appreciation of how far in advance the model was in it's day.

Much enjoyment is had with retaining as much of OE as I can.

Actually one of my projects is a redesign of the car....sketches and 3D models of course. Once I get around to completing it I will post. Hopefully this year I'll have the car scanned so I can start off with the proper proportion.

Your SE would be a nice car to have there, but you will certainly have to explain to the judges what makes it so special, other than the steering wheel on the right of the car

CYTH - yes a very nice car and worthy of the competition.

Nitpicking - your AC and firing order radiator decals are the wrong way round - AC is normally on the right side - or did they come that way from the factory?

My SE is about as Euro as you can get 8>)
Already won best in show. Totally unmolested.
I am up for the challenge if you think it fits.

Hi Roger - Yes, I'd love for it to be displayed and I appreciate the idea of you and Jim showing it for me. However, I still think there are nicer GTs than mine that could be shown. Simply put, there's no substitute for low miles (well, short of a Dan Hebert-type restoration). My car is pushing 100K miles, it has flaws that will not escape Monterey-level concours scrutiny - and I don't want to embarrass the marque or myself. Alternatives that immediately come to mind:
  • George Michael's Coral Red 91GT
  • Bob Voskian's Guards Red 91GT
  • Bob Ingram's Oak Green 89GT (the one with ~ 400 miles, not sure who owns it now)

Additionally, as George alluded, the "to do" list to return mine to bone stock is quite lengthy. I haven't taken it very far from stock, it's just that I've done so many things to it. It would take substantial time, effort, and money to get it ready for a show of this magnitude.

The CS is a beauty, and would definitely be on the list.

I'm wondering if there is any chance that there is an '84-'86 twin dizzy out there that didn't get too molested in the federalization process.

Has anyone even heard of such a car in existance?

I have an 86 S2 but even Jarrod and the DFW crew with all the cleaning material in the World could not help me enter the car in a month of Sundays 8>)

James Morrison has a nice 85 S2. James keeps his cars very nicely presentable.
Also a local customer has an 85 S2 that is very nice - they exist but convincing the owner to enter may be the hardest task.

Adam - We could always send out an email to our customer base looking for a specific car to enter. I am sure Mark has an even more impressive list than I and would do the same. This is important to the 928 cause.
