Default The 928 Dead Sea Scrolls

Just got a copy of a book from an air-cooler friend who thought I might enjoy some 928 content because he knows I'm a freak about this stuff.
"Porsche: Engineers Talk Shop"
Put together under Helmuth Bott, it consists of his engineers talking about why they designed what they did. Topics on the 928 from engine design all the way to paint design.
I'm in awe.

I would love to see a PDF of this. Is it just a collection of papers? Doesn't look like a book.

I have a pretty elegant scan-to-PDF setup for reproducing, cataloging and archiving engineering documents. (I get piles of them for projects). Available for stuff like this if you'd like. PM me if this interest you.

Wow! Fascinating stuff, I hope it can be available to all interested, so thanks Dave for letting us know about it, and Dr Bob for volunteering resources in case Dave can make it available.

I would be very interested in reading this too.

There's one on E-bay in the UK for sale if anyone wants one. No affiliation.

Seems like 928oc might have an interest in having it on their site, if you are making it public.

Not to worry gents.
Anybody that shares the passion, deserves the read.
Glad you guys are as excited as I am.

I have to credit my friend Nic Georgieff, who is a remarkable guy and national PCA instructor, for finding the book and making a copy of it for me.
He is a big Helmuth Bott fan, as am I, and he found this rare gem while researching him.

I'm still chasing down this fool's dream of having a polished metal S3 pipe organ, so when I'm done I will try and get pages up with Doc's help or some other way. If I'm taking too long, I will post some page pics.

I can't remember if the 928OC resources remain viewable to non-members, but I would want everybody to be able to get to it.

Regards.
