PO of my car was a doctor in NJ. I bought the car from a dealer but was able to contact the PO and had a nice conversation. He had three 928s and bought the GTS from a Porsche dealer in Cleveland. He liked the unusual color and bought it sight unseen.

My '94 GTS was bought new by a very wealthy Houston oil man who donated about $10M per year to charities. He is a member of the U. of TX Business School 'hall of fame' as well. I have his name and business card, but don't believe I should post it. He kept it for 12 years and 53K miles, so must have liked it! Traded it for a Maserati coupe, and I bought it from that dealer in Jan '06.

One of my previous cars - an '88 S4 - was sold by Hollywood Porsche to a gal in the movies. She starred in 'Pretty Woman', but the car in the movie was a Ferrari! Julia Roberts name was on the copy of the original CA title (no lien!) that I received from the 3rd owner when I bought it in Portland OR. Passed the copy on to the next owner when I sold it.

I don't know who the first owner of my current 1987 S4 is (was?). I have his name and that is all.

But I have had the pleasure to discuss with the first owner of my former 1989 CS. It is a very nice man, who has ordered around 30 new Porsche over time.
The CS was is second and last 928. It came after a regular S4 that he found "boring". So Sonauto (then Porsche importer in France) made him test the first CS imported (also used as a press car) and he ordered a CS on the spot.
So he became the owner of the only "customer" CS delivered in France.

He replaced the CS by a 964 Turbo S "Leichtbau", in 1992, with around 80K km on the odometer.

Then the CS was bought by an insurance broker whose favoring game was to race the TGV on Paris-Bordeaux...

I was the third owner.

I bought my 84 Euro 5-speed from the original owner in November 2009 in Pittsburgh PA – and, yes, he is a dentist. He bought it new as a gray market German spec car in March 1984 for $43,500 (I have the original bill of sale and title). It had 33,000 documented miles on it when I bought it. Over the 25 years the original owner had it, several Ferraris and other sports cars came and went through his possession, but the 928 remained. It now has 46,000 miles on it.

10:54 AM PST 09/21/2011 by Mike Barnes

He repped Bill Cosby, Englebert Humperdinck, Nederlander Organization and many Nevada theatrical productions.

Tom Illius, who represented Bill Cosby, Tony Orlando, Debbie Reynolds, Jerry Lewis, Jim Nabors, Mickey Gilley, Englebert Humperdinck, Della Resse, Charo and the Nederlander Organization for the state of Nevada in almost 40 years as a William Morris agent, died Sept. 7 in Los Angeles. He was 83.

Illius joined WMA in 1971 in Chicago, then moved to New York two years later to head the record department. He came to the Beverly Hills office in 1975 and in 1980 became a vp specializing in nightclub productions such as Moulin Rouge (its Reno and Vegas editions).

He guided Nederlander’s entrance into legitimate theater in Reno with such productions as Hello, Dolly! with Carol Channing in 1976, The Music Man, My Fair Lady, Annie Get Your Gun, Annie and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

A native of Cleveland, Illius became a personal manager and owner of a recording studio, with such clients as the Poni-Tails (“Born Too Late”) and other musicians. He co-managed comedian Frank Fontaine (The Jackie Gleason Show) and then worked for Ashley Famous Agency in New York as an agent.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 23 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills.

Mine was purchased new in Scottsdale,AZ. buy a guy named Sonny Sell. Sonny owned a hotel and I used to see the car around my very small town in 1991/92. Then it dissapeared. Sonny sold the hotel and bought a citrus plantation in Belize.
Ten yrs later the car reappeared in the driveway of a guy I worked with. Seems that Sonny and he were friends and Sonny left the car in his garage before he left for Belize. The guy had sold the house and the car was loosing its comfy indoor storage. I asked him what was the deal on it and he told me it was for sale. I offered a rediculously low price as a joke. Three days later he came into my office and said Sonny would take the offer. So now I owned a 21yr old car I really didn`t need or want. many thousands of $ and yrs later I still have it. Who Knew !

Mine was first owned by Sinatra. Sal Sinatra, that is, who had it registered to Temple Street Garage on Sunset Blvd in LA.That company is no longer in business and there is an art gallery in is place. The next owner lived in La Canada, CA and put 6,000 miles on it in 8 years. He's the one who had the pin stripes painted and the wheels chromed.

He owned my 928 until 2011.

I wish I had any history on mine. Does anyone know how to find any out through Porsche or another source?

94 GTS was originally owned by a Navy Admiral. The 80 is a mix of 79, 80 and GM and was presumably owned by many. T

Wally Crouter , a well known Toronto radio broadcaster first owned my 88S4. I was told it was bought for him by his radio station as a contract signing bonus.
