removing trims between rear seats
HEllo!
I am routing the cable for cd changer from the radio to the right of luggage compartment.
I don'tknow how to remove rear centrer console in order to run the cable along the central tunnel, under the central trims and come out behind rear seats.
Anyone know the procedure?
Thanks
Francesco

For a later car have a look at this thread, post #2. Too many words and not enough pictures but it's a start.

CD changers have been replaced by a thumb drive or a connection to the music colllection that lives on your smart phone.
I have an (relatively) antique Blaupunkt head unit in the console, and a matching CD changer (plus spare) on the shelf. The head unit has auxiliary audio in that connects easily to the headphone jack on the phone. I keep the head unit because it's appearance-matched to the car and console. I would love to have a similar-appearing head unit that includes more modern features, especially BT link to the phone. In the menwhile and for the limited times I drive with the radio on, the existing setup is fine.

Perhaps he's going old school and reinstalling a CR-1 and a CDC-1 along with the proper DIN connector cable (928 645 450 00)? I would endorse that activity....

Thank you all!
My car is a '92 GTS Euro.
ROb I eally likethe picture.I asked my near Porsche center for the cd changer cover ...NLA, sadly, butthis is beautiful...
I don't care about an ipod or USb connections on this car.Like dr Bob said, I prefer my Blaupunkt rcm 43 Bremen with the cd changer matching the center style and has the same age of te car.....
I like also to keep the car (mostly) original ...
That is a good start.

What color is your interior? I think I have two of the black carpet covers for the CDC-1. (don't ask why, I don't know.... )

It may be easier to run the line along passenger side. Need to remove rear seat and tuck wiring behind passenger rear quarter, and exit where upper photo shows (Robs pic)
