Yeah. On the parking job I forgot how long the front overhang is. I am being more careful again.
The car has been dramaless so far. Just gas and go. Touch Wood. She just doesn't complaint. Everything is working. AC is nice and cold, but the real test for that will be in Florida. I have run her up a couple of times and she just wants to keep on pulling. Shifts right at redline - looks like 6100 or 6200 on this tach. I don't want to jinx anything but so far so good. Touch Wood.
On the music, sometimes the radio, sometimes from my son's phone. We also have been listening to pandora. We stopped at bestbuy to get a cassette tape adapter to be able to plug in our phones to the stereo through the tape deck. Works great. I was listening to the hockey game that way this evening using the TuneIn radio app on my phone as well. Stereo is lacking bass (just like my '90 and '91) but otherwise sounds surprisingly decent.
We stopped at Columbia, MO for the night. Guess what we find in the parking lot. Have a look.

Tanking up in Fargo this morning. Some drama this morning. Someone took it upon themselves to put a nice scratch on the front hood of the car. It is about 3/4 inch long and down to the metal. Looks like they set something on the sloping part of the hood hood, or sat on the hood and had something sharp sticking out touching the metal. I don't think it was keyed on purpose because usually if someone keys a car, they do a lot worse. And we had a great parking spot near the entrance but a wide spot and another car only on one side.
Some people - that's all I'm going to say. I will post a pic another day in another thread. I don't want to let this ruin my day.

Re: the scratch - on my way back from my fly-and-drive last year, I got dozens of chips in the front. The car was chip-free when I left, so I was bummed. But someone later explained that I was probably rubbing off lousy touch-up paint when I washed off the bugs each evening.
It seems unlikely that this sort of thing could be the source of your scratch, but I thought I'd mention it.

Great trip thus far! Sorry about the scratch. Over the years I've walked out hotels, a friend's place, wherever - to find some woman perched on the hood or leaning on my car, taking a photograph. Might have been jewelry. My point is, sometimes people are asshats unintentionally.
In any case, great looking 928! Stay safe.

Checked in to hotel at Valdosta. Just north of border with Florida. The car, well she performed exceptionally again today. No drama, just gas and go.
Here we were packed up this morning. The blue bag is the car cover that the PO provided with the car. He also provided a bras for the front and the mirrors. Not installed right now.

Odo from sometime this morning. I swear, this girl has been waiting 27 years to really stretch her legs. Finally getting to really run. The car is so tight. This must be how these cars felt when brand new.
