Well, looks like he's popped up again....

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...rbishment.html

Apparently doing business as Porsche928Interiors on Esty and Craigslist.

Now located in the Marina District/Cow Hollow San Francisco (my old stomping grounds, so caught my attention).

As long as he's not back on rennlist we don't much care - we gave up on policing the entire internet back in 1991.

Randy, I think he is still on Rennlist... I had some emails with him back in May after seeing his CL ad. I asked him if he was on RennList and he said yes that he had just gotten into a heated discussion about dash recover vs restore and I remembered seeing the thread. He's using the ID mr914.

Yup, looks like you're right as his Rennlist profile contact info links back to the same etsy site you referenced earlier that shows a lot of recovered 928 parts - maybe he figured with a 914 user name he could hide from the 928 members and moderators that are already familiar with his shenanigans. I just left him a Visitor message to say hello again and warn anyone else that goes to his profile page.

Unfortunately, he has selected a username here that is a username of a different long-standing member on Pelican Parts that is not him since that user is in Lincoln, NE. Maybe that's his new MO - find user names from other Porsche forums that are not currently used on Rennlist and then register himself under them hoping people will believe they're dealing with the same person, or not remember which site they saw that user on.

Someone needs to send the police to this guys address - if anyone is an LA / Santa Monica area officer and a Rennlist member, I can provide you his physical address to do the community a favor. Take an FBI agent with you too since he's probably violating some type of Interstate Commerce laws with his fraudulent behavior.

He is on a couple of the 928 Forums on Facebook. Definitely bad news in my book. Took me for $450 two years ago and never delivered. Beware!!!!

F**ker. I guess turning him in to the FTC and internet fraud sites did nothing.

Ah, if only I lived closer.

In the long run, I ended up with a much nicer Rob Budd dash that is a better fit for the car and better than the warped and poorly wrapped piece he had shipped to me that I shipped back. I'm over it now and have moved on, at least until I see him at some Porsche event where we can square up then - one way or the other.

I fully understand the anger about someone ripping off members of our community, however, suggesting any kind of violence is not allowed on the forums.

What you CAN do is log onto Etsy and report the seller. I have no idea how that sites works, they do have a report seller option.

He removed his post on FB but is still a member on the Porsche 928 Owners group but has been banned from a few as of last night. Thanks for the reminder about him E.

I just did exactly that via the Etsy link, referring them back to this thread and my detailed account of how he ripped me off in post #49. Maybe if others who have been personally taken by him do the same, we can get Etsy to shut down his online shop there and make him seek out another avenue from which to defraud people. Here's the link to report his Etsy shop - https://www.etsy.com/shop/Porsche928...hop-info-name# Down the left side is a "Report this Shop to Etsy" link that will open a popup and start the process.
