It's amazing how you learn new stuff about 928s even after years. I recognised it as wheel lock cover tool, but I never knew it had space in tool tray! It has always lived in centre console box in my car!

Odd b/c wheel lock changed during GTS years. On my late '94 there's a special locking nut for each wheel with a specific socket you use. My car didn't have the little ring-with-hook, so perhaps when Porsche went to the new type wheel locks they also thought to quit supplying the ring-thing ...

Even early '94's have the non cap wheel locks with special socket, I had no such tool as purchased - but not sure about new - there were a few other things missing.
Can you also use these to remove the wheel center caps?

I hope this is a "chime in" rather than a "highjack" - the thread title is just made for searching so I thought my Q's might be useful (well, not the Q's maybe but the A's). Two burning questions- where does the lug wrench go (mine is a Klein, have no idea if it is original)?, and where do you stow the jack? I'm trying to minimize rear end rattles (puh-leeez!)...

Lug wrench goes in front of the spare. Should be a slot in the plastic surround.
That ring thing looks exactly like the center cap puller on my wife's R32.
