I wasn't pointing fingers at anybody, trust me on that. Mine has had numerous UPS and FedEx vacations over its life, and I'm happy that it's being put to good use. The handling and the gorillas that handle this stuff have taken their toll on the case. There's a recovery path for the box, I just need more hours in the day to squeeze it all in.

I didn't perceive you as pointing fingers Dr Bob. Just a legitimate question on my part and a more or less expected answer from your experience. Short of building a very robust plywood crate with metal corners, high density foam lining, nooks and spaces and hold downs for each part, and strapping it to a pallet and shipping it freight I am out of good ideas. And that method is expensive to ship in most cases...and I have yet to make the crate....

Not at all Bob. I was just confirming the same observations about that blue plastic storage box. I was to scared to ship it !! Besides it gave me another reason to go to Mark`s and spend money !!

If we can make one, we could make several to send to the existing owners of the tools. Making them shouldn't be a big deal. The freight would be 'spensive though

The tools in the case are pretty heavy already. Adding a few lbs of crate won't make a lot of difference in shipping costs, in the big picture. Trying to decide if the crate needs wheels and a handle now...
