Many thanks.

Maine, you have a good eye for detail, LOL. I did that on purpose so it would match the axis of my shift arm.

Dave, I appreciate it. But that's my lucky rag (just kidding), so I will have to just have to drive the car in second gear if the **** is hot.

Matt, Ha! I figured if you need one -- you really need one.
Then in my tool box is a change of underwear for afterwards.

Hey All, curious update on this ****.
I recently heard back from somebody.
Confirmed Amco, by collector -- nice guy who goes by Centerpunch on RL.
I got his permission to post a pic of his collection which I found to be most impressive:

I have a few of those.

So has the shift **** been getting hot?

Your Porsche looks great wearing those twists Dave.

Size and shape remind me of the shift ***** for the 901-series and 911-series transmissions that the longhood 911s used. Those cars had a lot of blingy silver bits on them. Just off the top of my head, the 67s had silver driver's mirror, window trim, door opener, headlight surrounds, bumpers, interior rearview mirror, windshield wiper arms, fuchs, etc. All the shift ***** were black, I think, and generally showed the shift pattern in the insert hole. Wondering if it's not an old aftermarket part to add even more silver bling to those cars?

Edit: Looks like someone posted up before me confirming aftermarket. Nevermind.

Now that you mention it, I did burn the s___t out of my hand last week when I parked it in the sun.
