Default 928 revived from it s long winters nap

Spent most of yesterday afternoon and a few hours after dinner, reviving the little red car from its almost six month nap. Undid all the "storage mods" Changed the oil back to sythentic 10-50w, lowered the tire pressures, and put away the cover and tire cradles. Fired the car and let the temp come up to normal, checked for leaks, found none except for the pan gasket. I did drive it about 30 feet out of the garage and then back in after letting it run. Monday of next week it will be inspected, the inspection ran out in December. If the temps get up above 55 soon I plan on talking it out for a drive. The cars next service it to replace the 34 yo pan gasket.

That must be a great feeling after a long winter. I loved living in Vermont (Springfield then Burlington), but only in the summer and fall. The winters started to drag on too long for my taste. At least in Colorado we have quite a few warm winter days so the 928 can still get out once in a while. We get 300+ sunny days a year in Denver, which is nice.

Have fun and head up to Al's French Fries or Nectar's for some gravy fries. Just don't taunt me by saying how good they are!

Gutter-boy,

Long time fan of Al's with mustard , relish, and onions and a pint of fries with vinegar. Kind of a Burlington's rite of spring.

Hi Paul,
Spring time here in the Netherlands also. It sure is nice to drive the 928.
I have a slight oil pan gasket drip also. There must be a good write up somewhere on the forum, but I haven't come across it yet. I was wondering if you might have one, or some good tips if you've done it before.

Dutch,

I have never done a pan gasket, I did post a question to the list and got some suggestions. See
