Dash Pod Questions
Actually, 3 questions. After removing my pod to repair a crack, here's what I discovered:
1) I have an extra plug of the sort that plugs-into one of the dash board switches. It's wrapped in a black fabric tape. Should this be there? What is it for?
2) I have 3 of the 'fingers' that pull-in the connectors to the instrument panel that are broken-off by PO. Can these be replaced? Source?
3) Has anyone tried having one of the vinyl repair services repair the crack in their dash? I've been to the FibreNew website and the photos there of the repairs seems astounding. I have a franchisee near me and I'm giving thought to having him have a go at it.
Thanks,
Bob

Not sure about the crack work, but I do not think you can fix the tabs in the picture. Yours are useable as the bottom 'locking' part is still there. One of mine is misssing the hook part and it does cause some problems. Mine is a funky temp guage. I believe the socket is for euro light for back(?) Not to be concerened about.

The unused switch is for the Euro rear fog light. It's in all the cars.
Joejoe is right about the locking tabs. You still have the hook on the bottom and can lock the plugs in, it's just going to be a challenge to make sure they are locked correctly.
No clue on repairing the vinyl. But the ad pictures always show wonderful results. For anything.

The 17 pin digidash connector is 944 612 311 00, about $20 a pop back in 2010, not sure what they'd be now. Hopefully still available, I can't imagine they've sold too many in the interim.

Order me a couple, Roger? I suspect that I will need to transplant wires from existing plug to the new piece?
